
Kevin Walters is a legendary figure in Australian rugby league, known for his success as both a player and a coach. Kevie rose to prominence as a skillful and dynamic five-eighth, playing a key role in the Brisbane Broncos’ dominance throughout the 1990s. Walters won an incredible six premierships, five of those premierships, with the Broncos. Kevie represented Queensland in twenty State of Origin games for the Maroons. He also played for Australia, showcasing his leadership and playmaking abilities on the international stage. In 2001, Walters transitioned into coaching and has worked for over twenty seasons with QRL, Super league and NRL clubs before becoming Queensland’s State of Origin coach for four seasons. In 2021, he returned to the Broncos as head coach, tasked with reviving the club’s fortunes, and took the club from the wooden spoon to a grand final within three seasons. Known for his passion, tactical intelligence, and deep connection to Queensland rugby league community, Walters remains a respected and influential figure in the sport.
